Terms of Service

Welcome to CogniZenKids. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CogniZenKids ("Service"), operated by CogniZenKids ("we," "our," "us") based in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who Can Use CogniZenKids
CogniZenKids is designed for children ages 6–12, used under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Only adults (18 years of age or older) may create accounts and provide payment information. Parents or guardians who create accounts represent that they have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of any minor child who will use the Service.
2. Account Registration
To use most features, you must register an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Founding Family — $49 one-time payment for lifetime family access (limited to the first 100 founding families)
- Annual Plan — $79 per year with a 14-day free trial
- Monthly Plan — $9.99 per month with a 14-day free trial
- Early Adopter Monthly — $6.99 per month with a 14-day free trial, with the launch-pricing rate maintained for active subscribers
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your payment card details on our servers.
4. Free Trials
New subscribers to recurring plans receive a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period automatically.
5. Refunds
Founding Family one-time payments are non-refundable except as required by law. For recurring subscriptions, you may request a refund within 14 days of any charge by contacting hello@cognizenkids.com.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer the Service, use it to violate any law, gain unauthorized access to other accounts, resell or commercially exploit the Service, or use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access it.
7. Content and Intellectual Property
All lessons, characters, videos, graphics, music, certificates, Gem Guardians, and other content are the property of CogniZenKids or its licensors. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial family use only.
8. Children's Use
The Service is designed for children but is purchased and managed by parents. By creating a child profile under your account, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and consent to their use of the Service under the terms of our Privacy Policy.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. You may terminate your subscription at any time via the customer portal.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email and update the "Last updated" date.
