Ready-Made Life-Skills Lessons for Your Classroom
CogniZenKids teaches the skills report cards call 'soft' and employers call essential: critical thinking, emotional regulation, money sense, and AI literacy. Each lesson is a 5-10 minute story with structured questions — short enough for morning meeting, advisory, or a station rotation, and built for kids ages 6-12 to complete independently.
Where educators use it
- Morning meeting / advisory: one Heart Smarts or Mind Mastery lesson as the day's warm-up and discussion prompt.
- School counselors: Heart Smarts lessons (emotions, empathy, big feelings) as small-group conversation starters.
- Media & digital literacy: the AI Detective feature teaches kids to spot AI-generated fakes — a lesson plan that writes itself.
- After-school and enrichment programs: self-paced tracks with built-in gamification (Gem Guardians, treasure) that keep kids engaged without adult pushing.
- Financial literacy requirements: Money Minds covers earning, saving, wants vs needs, and smart choices for the elementary level.
Safe by design
- No open-ended AI chat — every interaction is structured, pre-approved choices.
- No third-party ads, no selling of personal data, COPPA-conscious.
- No in-app purchases shown to kids and no 'members-only' items — every child sees the same complete experience.
Founding Educator Pilot
We're a founder-built product (Richard West — 20+ year IT professional and dad of two) and we're recruiting a small group of founding educators: teachers, counselors, and program leaders who want free extended access for their classroom in exchange for honest feedback on what a classroom version needs. Pilot educators get direct input on the roadmap — including the multi-student dashboard.
Common questions
Is there a classroom dashboard for tracking multiple students?
Not yet — today each child has an individual profile with a parent-facing progress view. A multi-student educator dashboard is on the roadmap, and Founding Educator Pilot members are shaping it. Email hello@cognizenkids.com to join.
Does the content align with SEL frameworks?
Heart Smarts lessons map to core SEL competency areas — self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and responsible decision-making — through story-driven scenarios rather than worksheets. We're glad to walk you through the lesson list; email us for the full scope-and-sequence.
How long is a lesson?
5-10 minutes, self-paced, with a structured comprehension check. Designed to fit a morning-meeting slot or one station in a rotation.
What does it cost for a classroom?
Founding Educator Pilot members get free extended access while the classroom version takes shape. For individual families, plans start at $5.99/month after a 14-day free trial.
